The EuroBOSS Series www.euroboss2003.com

The EuroBOSS Championship, Europe’s fastest motor racing series, continues to grow in stature following its recent elevation to an ‘International Racing Series’ by the FIA. Eight rounds are planned during 2003 at prestigious circuits across Europe, including Silverstone International, Spa Francorchamps and Le Mans. The 2003 EuroBOSS Championship is open to single seat, open wheel, powerful racing cars.  Most teams start with a Formula One car and then add larger engines and full slick tyres.  In fact a team can run any modification other than traction control.  The series also has teams running Indy Car and F3000 chassis with engines of unlimited capacity.

The performance of these hybrid cars is stunning, the start is noisy and nostalgic and the racing fast and furious. The Championship aims to stir the passion of all motorsport fans… with just a little assistance from the howling V10 Benetton, Tyrrell and Ascari and the thundering V8 Reynard and Simtek with occasional appearances by a screaming V12 Ferrari. The open paddock and relaxed atmosphere provides fans with the opportunity to touch, admire and be photographed with some of the world’s most famous cars. Organised by the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC), the aim of the EuroBOSS Championship is to offer spectators and competitors the best value-for-money event in European Motorsport. With a starting grid of up to 20 cars and an open paddock, it’s not surprising that interest in the Championship is growing year on year. Cars are able to compete to their full high-speed potential and race on Avon tyres supplied by Midlands-based BMTR, the official distributor for Avon Racing Tyres. As a result, teams competing in the EuroBOSS Championship have been responsible for setting outright lap records at 16 UK and European circuits. Competitors have progressed from the series for European Big Open Single Seaters – EuroBOSS – to race in the FIA F3000 Championship, the FIA World Sportscar Championship and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. One EuroBOSS team even went on to purchase Minardi and enter Grand Prix racing! EuroBOSS has been a part of the national motorsport calendar for the past six years and now, with its new International Racing Series status, its popularity is extending across Europe

Max Wakefield ISP Champion 2002

ISP is a professionally run series featuring sports cars that must have raced during the legendary Le Mans period - the years 1963 - 1970. International Sports Prototypes encapsulates all the magic, drama and excitement of those days.

The series is run by such names as Richard Attwood, Stirling Moss, Reine Wisell, David Piper and Mike Knight. Other drivers who have guested at International Sports Prototypes events include Didier Pironi, Rene Arnoux, Derek Bell and Jacques Laffite.

The cars that star in this series are very fast, even by todays standards, beautiful, often very rare and extremely valuable. They include the legendary Porsche 917, the 908, Ferrrai 512, P4, P2, LM, Ford GT40, and the F3L, Alfa Romeo Typo 33/3, Matra 650 and the beautiful Lola T70. The 2 litre coupes comprise, in the main, the gorgeous Chevron B16's.

Special note can be made of three cars mentioned here - the Ferrari P4 is one of only three remaining in the world, and the only example racing, driven by Max Wakefield.

The Ford F3L which was designed as the follow up car to the world beating GT40 is one of only three that remain, and is amongst the most dramatic looking of all Sports Prototypes.
It is usually driven by Richard Attwood, as it was in its heyday.
Finally our Matra Ford MS650, the car that finished 4th at
Le Mans in 1969 is the only example of that classic marque likely to be seen in competition anywhere in the world.
It is driven by
Mike Knight and David Piper.
